Golf at Meadow Brook

Founded in 1898, Meadow Brook Golf Club features a private course in Reading, Massachusetts.

The original 9-hole course was laid out by Alexander Findlay, a Scottish golf professional and early golf course designer. In 1903, Meadow Brook became one of the founding members of the Massachusetts Golf Association, and in the years leading up to World War I, the club hosted the annual Meadow Brook Invitational which always featured many of the best local amateurs. This included Francis Ouimet, who won the 1913 Meadow Brook event a few months after he shocked the sporting world by winning the U.S. Open in Brookline. Our professional staff, led by PGA Head Golf Professional Kevin Franey, are committed to providing members and their guests with a remarkable experience. Our full service golf shop offers everything you need to support your game, including equipment, apparel and more.

Hole #1

Par 4Handicap: 6/14
Hole 1: 393 393
Hole 10: 418 284

Hole Description
A strong par 4 starts your round. With out of bounds stretching the entire right side of the hole, you may find yourself favoring the left side of the fairway. Too far left, and you can be blocked out by severe mounding, and trees; too far right, and you can find yourself in a fairway bunker placed strategically in the landing area. The second shot gets no easier, as you are faced with a wide, but shallow green, guarded by a deep bunker.
